Would you like to try your hand at creating a sand picture, experimenting with silhouettes, investigating decoupage, creating a photo collage, making a scrapbook and much more? If you are interested in the Victorians and the wonderful creative crafts they enjoyed, then why not come along and join a new course starting this February in Lincoln and try out some of the activities for yourself?
Alongside practical activities, the course will explore how important arts and crafts were in Victorian times, especially to the more wealthy ‘ladies of leisure’, at a time when they were rarely engaged in employment and there was no television or radio.
The course will be led by Kathy Holland and starts on Wednesday 22nd February at the Museum of Lincolnshire Life, Burton Road, Lincoln LN1 3LY.
This a 5 week course and each session runs from 10.15am – 1.00pm. All equipment and materials can be provided for a small charge and both beginners and experienced crafters are all welcome.
There is charge for the course but it is free for those in receipt of certain benefits. To book, or for more information, please contact the Lincoln WEA Office 01522 522472 or email email@example.com.
We look forward to welcoming you!
